Star Trek is a science fiction series created by Gene Roddenberry. The original series made its debut appearence on television in September of 1966. The main setting of the television series is a mission to discover civilization, life, and "to boldly go where no man has gone before". The main plots revolved around the Federation Starfleet Crew of the USS Enterprise lead by Captain James Tiberius Kirk. Other main crew members are Mr. Spock (a Vulcan Science Officer), Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Montgomery "Scotty" Scott (the Enterprise engineer), Uhura (communications officer), Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu (USS Enterprise helmsman), and Pavel Andreievich Chekov (navigator and tactical officer).
